Jennifer’s love of photography comes from her father. The seed was planted at an early age when he shot portraits of her and her sister, which then led to her getting her first camera in grade school. Jennifer's passion for photography and art blossomed throughout her schooling while developing her own film and prints, spending hours in the darkroom. During her latter years of high school, she worked as a portrait photographer at two local photography studios. In 1989, she won a Gold Key and Gold Medal for her photographic portfolio in the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Competition. The portfolio was exhibited at the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards National Exhibit in New York City. She then went on to study at MIAD (Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design). Jennifer is also talented and creative in the performing arts. She has formal training in various dance styles and disciplines. Her love for both the visual and performing arts continues to influence her photography. When she’s not shooting photos, she can be found dancing or working with her dance and entertainment company, Dollface Productions. Whether she's composing behind the camera or choreographing for the stage, she believes that her creative processes are inspired and influenced by both art forms. Her photographs result in passionate visions of life’s beauty as seen through her eyes.
